The Georgetown Jingle is a holiday extravaganza and philanthropic event conceived by the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC, JDS Designs, the Washington Design Center and the Georgetown BID. We’ll be celebrating the fashions and inspirations of the season by showcasing the talents and offerings of designers, Georgetown businesses and showrooms of the Washington Design Center. And we will be raising critical revenue for the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program at Georgetown University Hospital.
The Georgetown Jingle brings together designers, businesses and guests for an evening of design, fashion, shopping and unique culinary experiences in the five-star, five-diamond atmosphere of the Four Seasons Hotel Washington. The event, designed with families in mind, features a silent auction, including unique holiday trees designed by the region's leading designers; tastings from DC metro restaurants; and a children’s workshop complete with Santa!
All funds from the Georgetown Jingle will benefit the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program at Georgetown University Hospital. The program is unique in the Washington metropolitan area. Dr. Aziza Shad, Program Director, leads an extraordinary team of internationally-recognized specialists in the field of pediatric cancer and blood disorders at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center – the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Washington, DC area. Dr. Shad and her team are also well-known for their compassionate care – taking into account the entire family and their individual needs. These doctors provide treatment in an atmosphere that allows their young patients to simply act like kids – even while they are battling cancer. This is accomplished through a team of dedicated art therapists, social workers, chaplains and psychologists who work closely with Dr. Shad’s team. Proceeds from the inaugural year of the Georgetown Jingle will support this remarkable program at Georgetown University Hospital that will benefit hundreds of children with cancer in our area. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of these children and their families – giving them hope for a cure … and for a future.
